Success for Sutton youngsters at London Youth Games

Sutton students had huge success at the Balfour Beatty London Youth Games last weekend.

The finals of the five-week challenge saw Sutton’s youngsters beat off competition to climb nine places to come 11th out of 33 London boroughs.

Over 300 young athletes from Sutton’s local sports clubs and schools took part in 34 events, and came home with medals for tennis, squash, disability swimming, water polo, judo, gymnastics, athletics and disability athletics, plus many more.

The finals took place at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre and Sutton’s youngsters won the Most Improved Borough Award.
