Apprentices are developing their skills on a ground-breaking project at Noble Park, Epsom.
Forty apprentices are working for developer Crest Nicholson on the development which includes working on five cutting-edge, eco-friendly homes.
Under the title AIMC4, the homes are being delivered as part of a wider consortium project created to research and build mass-market carbon efficient homes which optimise the fabric of the building.
The project is supported by funding from the Technology Strategy Board, and the outcome will be the development of a series of low energy, easy-to-maintain and cost-effective homes for the future.
Crest Nicholson’s chief executive Stephen Stone, said: “Working on the groundbreaking new homes at Noble Park has provided an unparalleled opportunity for our apprentices to be at the cutting edge of developing new construction techniques and technologies.”
