McDonald's in Tooting hopes to stay open until 3am at weekends
A McDonald's restaurant is hoping to stay open till 3am at the weekends.
The fast food chain in Mitcham Road, Tooting, has applied to Wandsworth Council for a licence to extend it's opening hours.
If granted the restaurant will stay open until 1am Sunday to Wednesday and until 2am on Thursday.
On Friday and Saturday the branch would stay open until 3am, and in the mornings open at 5am.
A minimum of one security guard would be at the restaurant during the week and there would be two working at the weekends.
McDonald's is currently open from 6am until midnight during the week and until 2am on Friday evenings.
It is located close to Tooting Broadway Station and several late night venues, while 75 consultation letters were sent out to businesses and residents in the area.
Councillors are set to make a decision on tonight during a licensing sub-committee meeting.
