Sutton Theatre Company bring the swinging 60s to the Secombe Theatre

Take a trip back to the swinging 60s and learn how to succeed in business without really trying.
The Sutton Theatre Company is bringing this lively musical involving dancing, singing and love to the Secombe Theatre.
The musical, set in New York, follows the ambitious man on his journey to climb the corporate ladder.
J. Pierrepont Finch, begins his meteoric rise from the mail room to vice president of advertising however his business practices jeopardize not only his career but also his romance with secretary Rosemary Pilkington.
Director Mary Watkins says: "It is about a guy J Pierrepont Finch who starts washing windows.
"He is reading a book called How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and the story is about how he ends up at the top of the ladder.
"It is quite fun. The story itself is amazing.
"He ends up as top man in the World Wide Wicket Company having started as a window washer.
"How to succeed in Business was Sutton Theatre Company’s first show, so I’m happy to be able to bring it back for audiences to enjoy.
"I very much enjoy it. It’s hard work but the rehearsals are great fun.
"It’s a wonderful show, the cast and the big numbers are brilliant - so don’t miss it."
The performers range from 16 to 60 years old and the show is suitable for all ages.
They will tackle familiar office dangers such as the aggressive company man, the office party, backstabbing co-workers and of course love.
The show promises to be great fun with lots of great dancing and catchy musical numbers including the show stopper - Brotherhood of Man.
It is based on the book by Shepherd Mead and written in 1952.
The star of the Harry Potter films, Daniel Radcliffe, recently starred in the Broadway revival of the show.
