Halloween fans are invited to take part in a devilish 5k fun run to raise money for Stroke Association.

The event takes place in the picturesque setting of Battersea Park but the route will take runners through some of the darkest parts of the park.

This is the third year the event has been held and more than 300 runners took part last year.

Carly Cook, from Stroke Association, said: "For those who are brave enough to run, Zombies and Vampires patrolling the route will ensure you have a truly haunting experience."

The fun run will raise much-needed funds for Stroke Association, which supports people affected by stroke across the London.

Around 13,000 people suffer a stroke in London each year and more than 100,000 are living with the after-effects of the condition.

There is a £15 registration fee for the event, which starts at 6.30pm on Thursday, October 25, and it will take the runners around some of the darkest paths of Battersea Park.

After the run entrants and organisers will be popping to a local bar for light refreshments. For more information call 020 7566 0311 or email events@stroke.org.uk.
