Review: The cold light of day (12A)
Business consultant Will Shaw joins his father Martin, mother Laurie, brother Josh and his girlfriend Dara on the family yacht in Spain the very same week his company is threatened with bankruptcy.
The timing of the holiday couldn’t be worse and Will’s Blackberry continually rings to the irritation of Martin, who throws the device overboard.
Will swims ashore to acquire a new phone but when he returns, he discovers his loved ones have been abducted.
A plea for help to local police exposes a dark family connection to feisty CIA agent Jean Carrack and her henchman Gorman.
With less than 24 hours to rescue his family, Will places his trust in a beautiful stranger called Lucia to guide him through Madrid’s teeming streets.
