Crash causes traffic chaos
A traffic smash blocked a road and injured one person in Streatham around midday.
The crash happened on Mitcham Lane at the junction with Tooting Bec Gardens and caused traffic chaos as the junction was blocked for some time.
Jonathan Bartley, chairman of Streatham Green Party, took to Twitter to warn road users.
Mr Bartley, who drove past at about 1pm, said: "There was what looked like a sports car with it's roof taken off."
He said the car was black and ambulance service, firefighters and police were at the scene.
He added at the time Tooting Bec Gardens was closed by Ambleside Avenue and Garrad's Road causing traffic to build up.
The London Fire Brigade was called to the collision at just past midday.
A spokesman said: “One person was trapped, but was released and taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.”
