Crystal Palace co-Chairman Stephen Browett believes Palace's academy is the best place to learn your trade
Crystal Palace’s has a long history of producing quality young players and it doesn’t look like the conveyor belt of talent is going to stop anytime soon.
The club’s former chairman Simon Jordan, invested heavily in the club’s academy, and that attitude hasn’t changed, with co-chairmen Steve Parish and Steve Browett making sure the academy is the heartbeat of the club.
Victor Moses, Ben Watson, Wayne Routledge and Nathaniel Clyne are all ex-Palace academy graduates plying their trade in the Premier League.
Mr Browett said: "It is a great endorsement on what Crystal Palace football club does.
"We give young players a chance and we educate them well. It is great for the club and its image. It shows that if you put your kid into the Palace academy you have a fantastic chance of doing well.
"Wilf has played more than 100 games already for us, I don’t think he would have had that opportunity anywhere else."
