Homelessness charity shop opens in Crystal Palace
10:00am Sunday 10th March 2013 in News
A housing and homelessness charity has opened a new shop in Crystal Palace.
Shelter opened a new shop on Westow Hill, which will raise funds for families who are struggling to afford a house.
Nisha Vaja, area manager of the Shelter Crystal Palace shop, said: “Our doors are now open, and anyone can help by clearing out their wardrobe and cupboards and dropping off a bag of donations, or simply by popping in to see what we have on offer.
“In these difficult times, Shelter’s advice is a lifeline to families who have nowhere else to turn. Every stock donation or purchase means we can help more people keep a roof over their head.
“Anyone who has some spare time and is interested in supporting Shelter’s work should get in touch to find out more about volunteering with us.”
The new Shelter shop is open 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sundays.
