UK's biggest winter sports festival Freeze moves to Clapham
The UK's biggest winter sports festival has expanded and moved to a new home.
Freeze, in Association with Metro, will be taking place in Clapham Common for a five day bonanza of winter sports and apres ski partying.
About 30,000 people are expected to attend, with authentic alpine food stalls, apres style ski bars and a shopping village all coming to the site.
Professional winter sports athletes will compete in the Hail The Rail competition, battling out to win the £14,000 prize.
A ski and snowboard cinema will be screening winter sports films, including film premieres and talks from athletes featuring in the films.
On Saturday world class winter sports competitions will take place on a ski slope, alongside performances from top music acts.
There will be five themed alpine bars including Dicks Tee Bar, Bavarian Haus, Metro House, La Folie Douche and Krazy Kangaroo.
First announced on the line up is producer Madeon, famed for his remixes and engineering from Deadmau5.
Bratwurst, crepes, fondue and mulled wine will be on offer to keep people warmed up through the cold.
