Reggae Reggae man Levi Roots was presented with the keys to Brixton Market on Friday.
The Dragon’s Den star sold his special recipe Reggae Reggae sauce at the market before finding fame in the BBC show.
He was honoured for his work in promoting the market and the borough by market traders and Lambeth Council.
After receiving the key Levi demonstrated his famous Caribbean cookery skills and signed copies of his new book.
Councillor Rachel Heywood, cabinet member for culture on Lambeth Council, said: “Levi is a fantastic ambassador for Brixton and Brixton market. Since he’s found wider fame he has always spared time to give back to the community, giving countless motivational speeches at local schools and colleges.”
