An arrest has been made in connection with a double murder in West Norwood.
Police arrested a 29-year-old man last night in south London in connection with the killing of two men aged about 60 in a ground floor flat in Summersell House.
Police were called to the eight-storey block in Bentons Rise at 10.15pm on October 20, where the bodies of the two men were discovered.
One victim has been named locally as Lucian Schiano, a former Streatham Big Issue seller.
Police said they will offically name the victims after a formal identification is made today.
A post-mortem examination will also take place at 2pm today at Greenwich Mortuary.
Officers from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating, and continued their appeals for information on the incident.
DCI Damian Allain, who is leading the inquiry said: "This is a quiet area and we are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything out of the ordinary in the last couple of days.
"I would like to reassure the local community we are doing all we can to solve this crime.
