Extra police resources have been located to Gipsy Hill and Knights Hill in a bid to combat a surge in crime.
Lambeth’s borough commander, Chief Superintendent Nick Ephgrave, said the areas had seen an “extra tasking of resources” after increased criminal activity - including violent crime - in recent months.
The latest available statistics show some 123 crimes took place in Gipsy Hill ward in November, compared with 91 in October.
The police helicopter and firearms teams are among resources to have been employed in the area.
