Big Brother anti-terror powers used by Lambeth Council to catch fraudsters

More Big Brother spy tactics are being used by Lambeth Council to catch out suspected blue badge fraudsters.
Statistics released by the council show Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA) powers - brought in to counter terrorism - were used 16 times in 2009/10 to spy on people suspected of using fake or stolen badges to access disabled parking spaces.
The powers were used 10 times in 2008/9.
