A Lambeth social worker who assaulted a young person has kept his job.
Michael Sadowski, employee of Lambeth special disability services, admitted the assault, which was unrelated to his job and took place on June 1, 2009, and received a police caution.
A General Social Care Council conduct hearing decided, on July 21, that a caution remain on Mr Sadowski’s record for a year, but no further action be taken.
The conduct committee said he recognised the seriousness of his behaviour and had showed remorse, and the particulars of the incident meant it was unlikely to be repeated.
The committee said he had excellent previous good character and was a valued member of staff.
