Volunteer for deaf charity wins award

A charity campaigner who raises money for people suffering from deafness and hearing loss has been rewarded for her work.
Helena Martins, 40, from Streatham, was given the Regional Champion for Delivering Results Award by the charity Action on Hearing Loss.
She said: “I am thrilled I have helped such a worthwhile charity make a real difference.”
Jane Bailey, head of volunteering for the charity, said: "We are delighted to recognise the endless enthusiasm and inspiring work Helena has shown."
