UPDATE: South Norwood shooting victim named
A man is in a critical condition in hospital following a shooting in Thornton Heath.
Police and ambulance services were called to Wharncliffe Road, Thornton Heath, at 4.40pm on Sunday after reports of a shooting.
A man aged 25 was found with a gunshot wound and was taken to hospital. Officers from Trident are investigating the incident but no arrests have been made.
Witnesses described seeing armed police, forensics teams and the air ambulance.
