TV presenter Kate Thornton speaks of mugging
TV presenter Kate Thornton has spoken out against the ‘scumbags’ who mugged her in front of her four-year-old son in Brockwell Park.
Ms Thornton, former presenter on The X Factor and Loose Women, took to Twitter to tell of how she was left ‘angry’ and ‘rattled’ after her mobile phone was taken on Tuesday.
Ms Thornton posted: "I hope the 2 lowlife scumbags who did it reap what they sow."
She added: "Bit shaken and furious but aside from that all good."
She said the children were fine but had been scared at the time, probably because of her screams.
Ms Thornton also described police as being amazing and thanked her followers for their concern.
She said: "Too all the lovely people who follow me and have got in touch tonight - thanks a million. You are just lovely."
A police spokesperson confirmed they attended a robbery in Brockwell Park on Tuesday.
