Alphabet Lanes Nursery
A nursery opened a free playgroup mainly aimed at families who cannot normally afford such child care in West Norwood on Saturday.
The new Alphabet Lanes Nursery, based at St Luke’s Church, had a grand opening fun day with a bouncy castle, face painting and arts and crafts.
Navindh Baburam, project manager at Lambeth Play Association, said the playgroup was part of their Lottery funded Streatham and West Norwood families project.
Mr Baburam said: “We intended to help open this facility with a bang so had a big opening fun day in order to raise the profile and awareness of this service.”
The playgroup is open on Saturdays.
