Police are hunting for a man in connection with a serious attack in which the victim was stabbed multiple times on Tuesday.

Ian Rattray, 34 - also known as Falasaj - has a history of mental issues and is being sought in connection with the stabbing in Barrow Road, Streatham.

Officers have urged the public not to approach Mr Rattray, who left the scene of the attack.

The 23-year-old victim is in a stable condition after being taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds.

Mr Rattray is black, of medium build, has short cropped hair and was last seen wearing a black tracksuit.

He has links to the Thornton Heath and Finsbury Park areas.
