Nearly 100 people managed to pass the finishing line in a six-mile cross country race around Streatham Common.

Runners, aged from four to 70, took part of the main race and fun run, in which runners raised funds for charity on Saturday, September 29.

Phillip Henwood, race secretary at the Herne Hill Harriers who hosted the event, said: “The day went absolutely brilliantly. We had lovely weather.

“We probably had almost the same amount of spectators as runners.”

A team of five runners, from race sponsor Anthony Gold solicitors raised £660 for Macmillan Cancer Support, according to their fundraising website.
