Dangerous pit bulls seized in West Norwood

Pit bull terriers are a banned breed
Dangerous pit bull terriers were seized and their owner arrested on Wednesday.
Police seized two dogs from a property in West Norwood and arrested a 25-year-old man at about 7am.
Residents contacted police after the pit bulls attacked other dogs in Norwood Park leaving one badly injured with a collapsed lung.
Gipsy Hill Safer Neighbourhoods Team, with officers from the Status Dog Unit and Norwood Local Policing Team, entered the property in Gladstone Terrace with a warrant.
The man arrested for possession of dangerous dogs remains in custody.
