Ian Holloway to be named new Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway to be named new Crystal Palace manager

Ian Holloway is set to become the new Crystal Palace manager.

The Croydon Guardian understands that the charismatic Blackpool manager will be unveiled tomorrow (Friday).

Holloway, who guided Blackpool to the Premier League via the play-offs in 2010, has also managed at Bristol Rovers, Plymouth Argyle and QPR.

Well-known for his plain speaking managerial style and media appearances, Holloway would replace Dougie Freedman, who left Selhurst Park last week.

More to follow.

Ian Holloway's style and experience in winning promotion, and his unique idiosyncratic footballing metaphors, will hopefully bring a few smiles to the lips of many a Palace fan.
