Joker Jack understands the net value for AFC Wimbledon
It may not have been the best goal he has ever scored, but Jack Midson’s tap-in against Burton Albion triggered a celebration of net-shaking proportions.
Not only did the frustration of a slow start to the League Two season come flowing out, but the 30-year-old striker also had to make the most of being in the net to continue a joke that has been running from last season.
He said: “It’s odd, last season I had a few goals where I ended up in the net, shaking it in celebration, and the lads would laugh when we watched it back on video.
"So when I was in the net this time, I thought I’d do it properly for them.
“But in truth, it’s been a frustrating start to the season, so I was pleased to get in the starting line-up and I was pleased to score.”
