Crystal Palace boss Pulis calls on Premier League clubs to come to the aid of referees
Tony Pulis has called for other Premier League clubs to join Crystal Palace in helping referees in the fight against diving.
Pulis has fined two of his own players, Jerome Thomas and Marouane Chamakh, for going to ground to easily during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Swansea City.
And, after being backed by England manager Roy Hodgson earlier in the week, he wants other clubs to do more to ease the difficult job referees face.
He said: “They (Chamakh and Thomas) are both great lads and have done fantastically well for us but we just don’t what to see it.
“I think that is probably the first and the last time you will see it."
He added: “It is difficult enough refereeing games of football at the pace the game is played today - we should be trying to make it as simple as possible for referees, not more difficult.
“We have a responsibility on our side to do that properly and they have both accepted their fines with no problems.”
