Matt Damon has confirmed that he will be starring in George Clooney's drama The Monuments Men.
The Bourne star was previously reported to be in talks to join the film alongside Daniel Craig, Bill Murray and Cate Blanchett, which his Ocean's 11 friend will star in, co-write and direct.
"I'm doing Clooney's Monuments Men," he told Collider.
The film, which is based on Robert M Edsel's book The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves And The Greatest Treasure Hunt In History, follows a group of art experts known as the Monuments Men as they find artwork stolen during World War II. Shooting is expected to begin in Europe in early 2013.
Matt - who next stars in Gus Van Sant's Promised Land, which he co-wrote with John Krasinski - also confirmed that he has filmed his role in Terry Gilliam's The Zero Theorem. The pair previously worked together on The Brothers Grimm.
"Working with Terry was great. It was a very small part, which he just called and asked me to do, but it was great to be on a set with him again," he said.
